Praise to Canada.
Canada is recommending and distributing vitamin D to its citizens. Canadian cancer researchers have found that higher doses of vitamin D will cut cancer rates by 50%. In this move, they feel that they can prevent large numbers of cancer cases, thus saving billions in health care costs.
Yes, yes, yes. Prevention is the way to go.
Do you think this would ever happen in the U.S.? No. Health care in the U.S. is seen as a deficiency of pharmaceuticals. The U.S. doesn't want to prevent cancer. There is too much money to be made keeping people on the edge.
Praise to Canada.
